New Job

Hey everyone!

Well, as you may have guessed from the title of this thread; I just got a new job!:D

As of late next week I will be working for charity full-time. No, not one of those people who chases you down the street or rings you late at night asking for your money. But I'll be organising events to raise awareness for different charities and causes, and asking people what can be done to improve the services of charities, aswell as directly raising funds from businesses myself.

In short, I get to wake up every morning and get paid for helping others. I can't think of anything sweeter. The organisations I'll be working directly with are worldwide charities. Hopefully I can make a difference, no matter how small, to the lives of those less fortunate around the world. There's some pretty crazy things going on out there at the moment, and I feel touched at being able to dedicate my time to people who just need a little care.

So before the violins break out, I'll leave you to your day. I feel enveloped in warm thoughts and smiles right now, and hopefully this news gives you a small piece of happiness and inspiration also.

Take care all.:)

Thank you all so much for your kind words. This is a pretty cool place for support we have here huh?!

As for the details of the work, which Kimmy asked for, I'll just go through it quickly. Essentially, charities come to us looking to spread awareness for their programs and hopefully gain support through us. We are involved in 15 charities at the moment including Plan International, Amnesty International, Oxfam, Diabeties Australia, The Australian Cancer Council, Wesley Mission and CARE Australia, to name but a few.

I pretty much outlined my small role in the opening post, but I'll be doing my best to make a difference where I can. I'll post again in a couple of weeks to let you guys know how it's going and what I'm up to.

Thank you all again. I feel so happy and humbled by your sincere, warm thoughts.:)
