Hey everyone, just thought I would give you an update. We finally sold the house, my transfer came through and we moved to the Gold Coast.

YM is doing very well at university too, which is even better.

At the end of September, my YM surprised me with a trip to Tasmania for a few days, and while at the Junee Caves, we found a lovely creek where we took photos and enjoyed the scenery, and he got on one knee and proposed! It really was quite the romantic setting. LOL, the first words out of my mouth when I saw him on one knee with the ring was "HOLY CRAP" as I was totally shocked. But, then I said yes!!

I really do love living on the Gold Coast. The only down side to all of this, is that I have recently been diagnosed with Meniere's disease, which has been very disruptive. It causes bad vertigo and nausea, and I have an episode a few times each week, lasting for about 10-12 hours each time. Then it does take me a few days to recover. Treatment is a trail and error process, as what works for some, doesn't work for others, and so far nothing has helped me as yet. Once we find a treatment that works, we will then probably set a date for the wedding.

    Congrats Melody!

I suffer (bilateral) Meniere's Disease, too. Do not put off setting your wedding date. I've found after 8+ years that you learn to live with it and that treatments for it are very hit and miss including treatments that will work for a period of time and then stop working.

How romantic, congratulations on your engagement.

I hope you find your optimum treatment soon.
You know it's love when the pain of being apart is greater than the pain of being together.
