How'd the mouse invasion resolve?
I've heard plants with camphor, such as lavender, repel pests. I've also heard that pests don't like marigolds. When the weather's cooler (and the plants more likely to survive), we're planting lavender at Lovey's place and at my place to repel neighborhood cats, spiders, and so forth. I haven't heard that it won't work on mice.
Other pros for lavender: it's perennial, and doesn't require much water.
